Woolvale privacy policy
Last updated 2026-09-28
Woolvale is a narrator app for playing Werewolf around a table. It has no account, no ads and no server of its own. This page says what stays on your phone and the one thing that leaves it.
Who is responsible
Woolvale is made by Binventor in Da Nang, Vietnam. Thoai Ngo looks after your data here — write to hello@binventor.com.
The short version
Everything you create in Woolvale stays on your phone and we cannot see it. The only thing that leaves your phone is the record of a purchase, if you make one, and that record carries no name and no email address.
What stays on your phone
Player names you type when you set up a game.
Player photos, if you add one. Woolvale shrinks the picture to 384 pixels and copies it into its own folder to use as that player's avatar. When you remove the player, the photo is deleted.
The game: roles, night actions, votes, the game in progress and a count of the games you have finished.
Your settings: language, volumes, caption size and table rules.
All of this sits in Woolvale's own storage on your phone. It is gone when you delete the game or uninstall the app.
What your phone does on its own
The narrator. The recorded voice ships inside the app. Some lines are read aloud by the speech engine built into your phone, from Apple, Google or whichever engine you installed. Woolvale hands the line to that engine and sends it nowhere else.
Backups. If iCloud Backup or Android backup is switched on, your phone may include Woolvale's data in its backup. That copy lives in your Apple or Google account, under their terms, and we cannot read it.
Sharing a result. When you tap share at the end of a game, Woolvale draws the result card as a picture on your phone and opens your phone's share sheet. It goes only where you send it.
Rating the app. After your second or third game, Woolvale may show the App Store or Google Play rating box. What you write there goes to Apple or Google, not to us.
Hiding roles. On Android, Woolvale hides the game from the recent-apps preview while you play, so nobody can see a role by flipping through open apps.
The one thing that leaves your phone
Woolvale sells one optional item, Full Village, as a single payment. Apple or Google take the payment. We never see your card, your name or your address.
To remember that you own Full Village and let you restore it on a new phone, we use RevenueCat, Inc. as our service provider. When the app opens and when you buy or restore, RevenueCat receives a random ID created on your phone, the store receipt and the purchase details (product, price, currency, date and store country), and what every internet request carries: IP address, device model, and system and app version.
RevenueCat uses this to confirm the purchase, and shows us totals such as how many people bought Full Village and in which countries. It is not tied to your name or email, it is not used for advertising, and it does not follow you across other apps. RevenueCat handles it only on our instructions and protects it at least as well as this policy does. RevenueCat's own policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Why we may do this
We keep the purchase record because you bought something from us and we have to deliver it, including after you change phones. We look at the sales totals on the basis of our legitimate interest in running the business. Everything that stays on your phone never reaches us, so we do not process it at all.
Where the data goes
RevenueCat is in the United States, so a purchase record made in Europe leaves Europe. Our agreement with RevenueCat includes the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, which is what makes the transfer lawful. Nobody else receives anything, and nothing is sold.
What Woolvale does not do
No account, no sign-in and no profile. No advertising and no advertising ID. No usage analytics and no crash reporting. No location, contacts, microphone or health data.
Permissions
Camera: only when you choose to take a photo for a player.
Photos: only to pick one picture for a player. On iPhone the system picker hands Woolvale the one picture you choose and nothing else.
You can refuse both. The game plays the same without photos.
How long we keep it
Data on your phone: until you delete it or uninstall the app.
The purchase record: for as long as you might want to restore Full Village. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it or object to how we use it. Write to hello@binventor.com and we will answer within 30 days. Asking costs nothing.
Woolvale has no account, so we find a purchase by its order number. Apple puts an Order ID on the receipt email; Google's order number starts with GPA. Send us that and we can find and delete the record.
Deleting it does not take away what you bought. Apple or Google still have the purchase, and restoring it in Woolvale creates a new record from your store receipt.
If you are in the EU or the UK and you think we handled your data badly, you may also complain to your national data protection authority. In Brazil that is the ANPD, and in Türkiye the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK); the LGPD and the KVKK give you the same rights listed above.
Children
Woolvale is a party game for a general audience. It is not aimed at children under 13, it asks no one's age, and it collects no personal data about the people at the table. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to hello@binventor.com and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we update the date at the top of the page. If a change matters, we also say so in the app's release notes.
